We are happy to have been given the Breeders Award for first prize mare born in Canada. It is for the 1st ever Canadian-bred horse that made first prize, Jodis fra Fitjamyri. Bjoert fra Vindsdalur is the 2nd Canadian-bred horse to receive a first prize! She was evaluated at the 2009 International Breeding Evaluation by John Siiger Hansen and Herdís Reynisdóttir. Bjoert is the daughter of Fengur fra Stokkseyri & Ugla fra Stekkjardal. She is bred by Fitjamyri, born and raised by Lisi Ohm, and owned by Chanel Jones. Congratulations Chanel and Lisi!

Jodis fra Fitjamyri, the 1st Canadian-bred first prize mare, was evaluated at the 2008 Feif Evaluations by Barbara Frische and Silke Freuchthofe in Vernon, BC. Jodis is the daughter of Thor fra Fitjamyri & Geafa fra Litlu-Hildisey. Congratulations to her owners, the Marenbachs!
