Tölt in Harmony Clinic with Trausti Þór Guðmundsson, June 2-4, 2023

We are delighted to have Trausti Þór Guðmundsson back again for a Tölt in Harmony Clinic (also called Figures Tests). Trausti, is an FT trainer and an experienced competition rider. He was the editor of the Icelandic horse magazine Eiðfaxi from 2007 to 2011, was a riding instructor at Holar University in Iceland and is a FEIF Certified Figures Tests instructor. His clinics are in high demand and he has held them all over Europe and North America.

Tölt in Harmony aims to promote a harmonious way of riding Icelandic Horses.

The Clinic

The clinic will take place Friday, June 2 to the afternoon of Sunday, June 4. There are two lessons per day, with some theory as well, and one lesson on the last day.

 

Trausti will help horse and rider in all aspects of the Figures Tests training scale: 

1. Rhythm and beat (regularity and tempo)
2. Suppleness (elasticity/lack of tension)
3. Contact (acceptance of the bit and aids)
4. Impulsion (increased energy from hindquarters)
5. Straightness (equal bend on both reins)
6. Collection (engagement and balance)

Spots are available to camp on the grounds. There is no access to individual electric or water lines to hook up to an RV. Limited shared  facilities such as a shower and bathroom are available. Camping is free  for those participating in the event.
