Unlike many conventional sweet itch rugs, our material features a specially developed fabric structure in which the fibres are interconnected. This construction helps prevent small tears from spreading while maintaining the flexibility and comfort required for everyday wear.
The result is a durable yet lightweight and breathable rug that withstands daily use throughout the summer. It provides effective fly and insect protection, offers UV protection of 50+ and helps reduce irritation caused by midges and other biting insects. For additional comfort, the seams are deliberately sewn on the outside to minimise rubbing and skin irritation for sensitive horses.
